Then after starting a movie, the BD-C5500 prompted for a required firmware upgrade. Completed and the netflix had to be reactivated once more. Now the instant queue is buried 3 levels down. The parental controls are set to PG and lower but the BD-C5500 is playing "R" and "MA". Both Samsung and Netflix say there is no way to go back to what has worked so well for us. The TV in the bedroom didn't get the firmware/netflix update and still only shows the movies added to the instant queue.
The main reason we went with the BD-C5500 was for the kids to have the same movies and navigation we tried and loved on the Samsung TV we got a month ago on the older (bigger) TV in the family room.
Unless someone has a solution that will limit what the kids can access, we are going to have to discontinue our Netflix account and remove the internet from our BD-C5500.

michaeljays,
I'm looking into this. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
I wasn't aware, so please give me some time to look further into these details.

michaeljays,
The parental controls can take up to 8 hours to go into effect. 8 hours has passed - are you still able to access R-Rated movies since the PG-and-Lower settings were put into effect?

The NetFlix phone support had to reset the parental controls. The setting on the website were not provisioning to the device even after 12 hours. Then it was not updating recently watched and that movie would still play the "R" movie. I had to remove all NetFlix devices and re-add for the controls to work. The phone support told me that any movies we added to the watch instantly queue on the computer would play on the Instant Queue Blu-Ray player regardless of the rating: This is not the case. Now that we had to set the controls to "G" because things like "Dirty Sexy Money" were rated PG and now being suggested to the kids on the BDC-5500 Blu-Ray player - they cannot play other PG movies we have added to the Watch Instantly queue.
Good news is they can no longer play movies with R and MA (after having to deactivate and reactive the Blu-Ray player several times). Bad news is they cannot watch all the movies we have added to their instant queue.
