i got use the sony vaio battery care function and set charge until 80% only but i think better take out battery for long lasting...

I wouldnt do it. The battery is the last line of defense against power surges, data loss and so forth.
Where the battery is located it should have no problems with heat.

Batteries in modern notebooks don't suffer as much battery deterioration as they did in the past. That's because the notebook will stop the AC power from charging when it reaches 100%, so it makes no difference having the battery inside the computer or not.
The real bummer that degrades batteries is the heat produced from the vents. Unless you're planning to do a long gaming run of >30 minutes, then having the battery there won't hurt it. I don't even know if removing the battery is an option on the SB (by the looks of it, it's soldered in, and you can see the position of it in the instruction manual).

I don't quite understand your question but the battery is under that panel that you have to unscrew. The RAM and SSD/HDD are also housed under the same [gigantic] cover on the bottom of the notebook.

i tried to open the bottom cover but the screw is quite unique and small. quite difficult to open coz too hard and worry it will break my lcd screen if it press and unscrew very hard...

hey guys, i've also got the sony vaio sb and would like to know how to update the bios. the fan kicks in with some noise and i've read, this noise ceases to exist after a bios update.
